The Academy of Tucson and its three campuses are required to comply with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA). AHERA rules regulate activities involving asbestos-containing materials in school buildings.
The Academy of Tucson Elementary School located at 9209 E. Wrightstown Road DOES NOT have any asbestos-containing building materials in its school buildings.
The Academy of Tucson Middle School located at 7310 E. 22nd Street DOES NOT have any asbestos-containing building materials in its school buildings.
The Academy of Tucson High School located at 10720 E. 22nd Street DOES NOT have any asbestos-containing building materials in its school buildings.
An asbestos management plan detailing AHERA required information for all the above named schools is available for review in the Academy of Tucson Superintendents office located at 10720 E. 22nd Street.
An asbestos management plan detailing AHERA required information for each inpidual school is available for review in the Principal's Office of the school in question. You are encouraged to review the management plans or contact the schools designated person, Bud Stewart, Superintendent.
