Academy of Tucson Schools

October 8, 2020 - Superintendent Update

October 8, 2020

Dear Parents,

I would like to thank everyone who has done their part to make this challenging school year better by understanding the limitations set forth by the COVID-19 pandemic and working with teachers and staff to achieve the best possible outcome for your children. As a goal, we continue to prepare for the transition to hybrid or in-person learning.

As we come to the mid-point of the semester or end of the first quarter the Board of Directors has reviewed the metrics as they stand. Again, with the health and safety of students, families, faculty, and staff as its primary concern, it has been determined that the Academy of Tucson will remain on-line for the remainder of the semester.

We implore that you continue to keep the lines of communication open between your home, teachers, and, principal as needed to best serve our students through this time. There are a limited number of On-Site Learning Opportunities and Support Services, please contact your principal for more information

Thank you again for your continued diligence and commitment as we continue to move forward to a point when we can once again achieve full in-person learning.

Sincerely,

Jose E. Garcia M.Ed
Superintendent
