Good Afternoon AOTMS Community,

Oh, yes the temperature is rising!

Triple digits are right around the coroner!  Are you ready??

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate!  Short sleeves, light colored clothes are the order for the day.  All of these clothes are available and can meet the requirements of the dress code.

Make sure that your child brings a water bottle each day and takes time to drink during the day.  It is a great way to keep your body nourished and stave off those daily or weekly headaches.

Enjoy time around the pool! – BE POOL WISE!

Academics

This is the last week for state testing! – Whew!! – It has been a long one.

We are going to do make-up exams this week for state testing.  Please remember that teachers have assigned work during the state testing window.  Grades are reflected in Infinite Campus.  There are approximately 4.5 weeks left of the academic year.  Every assignment, quiz, and test matters.

If you have any questions regarding your child’s grades– please feel free to reach out to the respective teacher.

In an effort to ensure assignments being completed– there will be Saturday School/Detention on Saturday, April 27th from 9a 1-12p.  Students will be allowed to come to the building to complete class assignments or homework assignments.  Please take full advantage of this opportunity to secure passing grades.

Sports

Basketball is still going strong for AOTMS girls and boys!

The boys’ team is the only team that plays tomorrow vs. Calvary Christian.  The boys under the guidance of Mr. Hissick can enter the tourney with some positive momentum.

Due to the boys team being the only one playing tomorrow - the game starts @ 4p.

The game is being played @ Emmanuel Baptist Church located @ 1825 North Alvernon

Breakfast/Lunch

Hey, did you hear the May lunch menus are available?

It is the last month of the school year.  Do not let the opportunity pass you by to get free breakfast and lunch.

Remember if you place an order – please pick up your breakfast and/or lunch daily!

Spirit Days (April 22nd - April 26th)

Please make sure that your child reads the information for spirit day – very carefully.  This will avoid unfortunate scenarios like bringing a change of clothes or having to go home because of inappropriate clothing or material.

Reading and asking questions regarding dress down can allow us to have a great spirit week and avoid consequences for actions.

The team and I appreciate in advance of spirit week for your help!
